Aesthetics Elective Bracket results

In the Aesthetics elective, students voted each week on two pieces of art (Renaissance and earlier, and post Renaissance).
They started with eight on each side and voted it down to one.
The final winner was decided by a flip of a coin because the students just couldn't choose between The Starry Night and The Great Wave Off Kanagawa.

Whales to Scale

As combination science and art project, students selected randomly a whale to research then complete at a 1/12 scale. For every foot, we converted into an inch. The students drew the whale accurately to scale, then added color with chalk pastels and details with colored pencils. The whales are double sided so they can go in the windows at our art show. Opening March 11th from 5-7 at Gualala Arts.

Update: here is a link to the individual whales on Artsonia; http://www.artsonia.com/museum/gallery.asp?project=1111515
