Chalk pastel and oil pastel color wheels

Studio Art students learned how to draw and color color wheels as a color theory review. They used compasses, rulers and mixed tertiary colors. They also created a value scale using analogous and complementary colors of a hue.

Art is messy.

Students worked on monochromatic portraits in acrylic or tempera on canvas. They used photos as reference and mixed tints and shades.
