Packing tape sculptures process

 Students in Varsity Art studied Latin American figurative sculptors such as Glauco Longhi, Claudio Barake, Maria Isabel Gonzalez, Jeremias Lentini, Boris Thomas Salinas Ochoa, Manuel Parada, Victor Hugo Yanez Pina, and Pablo Ortega Salinas. They are working in small groups to complete a figurative sculpture out of packing tape and saran wrap. It has been a challenge working with a new material and in a group. Definitely a learning experience for all. :)

Georgia O'Keeffe in pastels

The 4/5 Art Class (the flippy floppers) are learning about Georgia O'Keeffe and abstraction of nature using enlargement.  They are working in oil and chalk pastel on 18 by 24 drawing paper. They drew thumbnail sketches from observation of natural objects.
